Thames Waterside – Bristol, Rhode Island

Behind Bristol Harbor Inn is a restaurant called Thames Waterside. It has the best water view. As a matter of fact when we arrived, there was this old lady sitting on the Adirondack with her wine. Alone. Possibly because she loves that kind of solitude. I can’t blame her, it was beautiful.

Hubsy and I arrived 10 minutes before they open. Staff were very accommodating and said, “You can be seated anywhere, we’re just not serving yet.” This for me is a good business strategy. Had they informed us that they can’t let us in, we would have dined somewhere else.

So we sat and enjoyed the view.

Wait staff came to the table when they officially opened and handed us the menu.

I was not in the mood for any drinks so I ordered water with lime and Hubsy did the same thing.

Calamari is something that we always crave for. It will be criminal to not order one.

Jumbo Stuffed Quahogs

Not a big fan of quahogs but Hubsy seems to enjoy it.

Since Hubsy was just indulging me with my whims, I decided to get Salmon.

It was cooked perfectly but I was quite full so I ate some and took the rest home.

This restaurant is beautiful. I wonder how they operate during winter season. It’s probably so cold. 🥶

Date Nights is my fave because Hubsy and I rarely have the same days off. My work schedule fluctuates and Hubsy works a lot.

I am just super excited though that very soon I will be having steady hours. I just got a new job at the same hotel I worked for 5 years. I am now happy to announce that after a decade (and some years 😻) of working at the Front Office, I am finally diving to the unknown (to me 😂) world of Sales.

My schedule will be steady and stable, which means less stress for Hubsy. And more love for my cat, Ming.

Life is good.
