Why I love Denim Jackets

What is it with denim that makes my heart flutter like a schoolgirl?

When I was a kid my Mom never bought us expensive stuff. It was my Aunt Arlene who showered us with fancy gifts. That was the start of our fashion obsession.

My sister Sugar and I used to design clothes and brought it to the town’s dressmaker. We will explain it to her and everything will come to fruition. Up to this day, I still scribble clothes on my notepads.

But it was denim that always caught my eyes. We live in a tropical country and denim is something we can’t wear in many different ways. Yes we love denim shorts and skirts, and πŸ‘– was a staple but a denim jacket was something you can wear on a cooler places like Baguio City or Tagaytay (considered summer capital of πŸ‡΅πŸ‡) so it’s always something I loved. Just because I can’t always use it, I think of places I can wear it. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I’m always in the lookout for great denim jackets. I usually let go of something that won’t fit me anymore (visit my account on POSHMARK: @ house_of_sun) and keep something that I feel would come back.

You see Fashion evolves and fashion revolves.

What I used to love about denim jackets is it’s versatility. It can bring your whole ootd to a different level. Like shoes or a purse, it is an accessory.

And I collect accessories. πŸ₯°

Denim will always elevate your style.

Anything Denim will always be my favorite. It’s timely. It’s versatile. It’s hip. It’s cool.

Denim is like a best friend. It’s always there. It’s your ally. There are times that you would not want to wear denim but once you need to, it never lets you down.
